Today the 12.12.2012 is indeed the most significant day in kenya’s national calendar.It is one of the most important holidays observed on the 12^th December yearly in Kenya. On this day, Kenyans reflect on the journey they have traveled and overcame through the challenge of fighting things like poverty and ignorance as said by President Kibaki. Today’s Jamhuri day’s celebration is not only the third Jamhuri day celebration since the promulgation of the new constitution but also the last Kibaki’s Jamhuri day as the president of the republic of Kenya. And also the last Jamhuri day under the grand coalition government.
