AU  Deputy  Special  Representative  condemns  the  assassination  attempt  on  Radio  Bar‐kulan  Journalist.    Mogadishu  –  June  10th,  2012;  The  Deputy  Special  Representative  of  the  Chairperson  of  the  African  Union  Commission  (DSRCC)  for  Somalia,  Honorable  Wafula  Wamunyinyi  has  expressed  concern  at  the  continued  trend  of  assassination  attempts  targeting  journalists  in  Soalia  with  the  latest  being  an  attack  over  the  weekend  on  Radio  Bar‐kulan  journalist  Mr.  Mohammed  Noor  Sharif  by  unidentified  gunmen.    

Honarable  Wamunyinyi  while  condemning  the  attempted  assassination  on  Mr.  Mohamed  Noor  Sharif  prayed  for  his  quick  recovery.   He  said;  “I  am  happy  to  learn  that  Mr.  Mohamed  Noor  is  in  stable  condition  despite  sustaining  injuries  during  the  assassination  attempt  and  I  wish  him  quick  recovery”
